Check out the chicken! ONE!

Your first 'Check out the Chicken' homework is to find out about a mining disaster (other tha Huskar!) where did it happen, when, why did it happen & what were the consequences

Don't forget to look on http://barfyr7.blogspot.com/ - it's got photos from our rehearsal last week as well as words for some of our songs!
Here are the words to the song that Morgan and Emily wrote, please learn!!

    1st verse:
     26 children drowned
    As parents started to scream
But nobody wants to go back
    To that horrible scene.

     2nd verse:
     The rain started to fall
There was a great big storm
      The tunnels started to fill
      While everybody said their will

    CHORUS

     26 children died
      14 survived
As the lake on top of the ground
      Started to dive
                                                                          X2

        3rd verse
        26 children drowned
        Some just over se…ven
        Their lives taken
And now they are in heaven

          4th verse
          Can you believe?
          How tragic this was
          So many dead
          You need to understand because….

The Paper Bag Game

Monday was an excellent day for us to be team workers, independent enquirers and creative thinkers! The aim of this game, was to go in our teams 1 person collect some newspaper and then follow some simple rules to make a paper bag it was up to you who did what thing and what your tactics were but you had to make 10 of these bags, before you showed them to Amie and Elliot at the bank! If the bags were suitable, and did not have any holes in you would collect one rupee. However, if madam picked a chance card the game would change you maybe had to do 10 small and narrow bags or half the size of the normal bags! We only had 20 minutes for all the game! I learnt definately to work better as a team and this game really gets you involved other years should 100% try this!!! :)  By Georgia F
