Check out the chicken! ONE!

Your first 'Check out the Chicken' homework is to find out about a mining disaster (other tha Huskar!) where did it happen, when, why did it happen & what were the consequences

Don't forget to look on http://barfyr7.blogspot.com/ - it's got photos from our rehearsal last week as well as words for some of our songs!
Here are the words to the song that Morgan and Emily wrote, please learn!!

    1st verse:
     26 children drowned
    As parents started to scream
But nobody wants to go back
    To that horrible scene.

     2nd verse:
     The rain started to fall
There was a great big storm
      The tunnels started to fill
      While everybody said their will

    CHORUS

     26 children died
      14 survived
As the lake on top of the ground
      Started to dive
                                                                          X2

        3rd verse
        26 children drowned
        Some just over se…ven
        Their lives taken
And now they are in heaven

          4th verse
          Can you believe?
          How tragic this was
          So many dead
          You need to understand because….
